I heard about FlyLady from Sandra (my wonderful step-mom) several years ago. At that time I did the decluttering and have been ever since. Basically, every time we’d find out I was pregnant I’d go through and get rid of more stuff to ‘make room for the baby’. We have very little clutter now and it’s very nice.
Well, I’ve started trying to do her daily items and it has made a big difference. It’s keeping the house cleaner and we’re cleaning up after ourselves. I used to let the kids walk around with food (big mistake) but we’ve stopped that as well. I’ve also noticed that the kids behave better when I’m doing flylady because there is some sort of schedule to our day and they know more of what to expect.

We’ve also been using “Saving Dinner”. I get a weeks worth of recipes emailed to me. It also includes the shopping list for the week. It’s pretty reasonable for $10 for three months. It’s cheaper per month if you pay for 6 months or a year. I only do the different menus for 3 months and have been putting them in a binder to reuse. Last 3 months I subscribed to the Low Carb Menu and this time I’m subscribed to the Regular Menu.
