I need to write on my blog more often! Nathaniel is turning 6 years old tomorrow. It’s really hard to believe he’s already in kindergarten and that Jonathan starts next year.
Nathaniel is doing great in kinder. He’s right on target for his reading skills. He really likes his teacher Mrs. Pearce. She’s a first year teacher but seems very good. I’m quite impressed with her. It’s really neat that she is a licensed lawyer, but felt like it wasn’t rewarding enough so she decided to quit and go into teaching. That says a lot to me about her - I like someone who is willing to give up things to work in an area she really loves. Although, I wonder if a bunch of five year olds will make her go back to being a lawyer. LOL She’s very patient with them, so she’s already way ahead of me!
Jonathan is still loving his trains. We were talking about Salli’s dog today, Rocky, trying to remember his name. Jonathan said her dog’s name wasn’t Rocky - that’s a train’s name! He loves his Thomas the Tank Engine trains. He keeps asking when he turns 5 so he can start kindergarten like his brother.
Sara is, well, Sara. Her favorite past time is to bug her brothers and she’s very good at it. She’s almost 3 and a half already. I hope she finds a new past time soon and so does Jonathan and Nathaniel!
Nathaniel turned 5 on February 8th. Robert took the day off and we took Nathaniel to Peter Piper’s Pizza for lunch and let him play some games. He had a lot of fun! He also won the ‘jackpot’ on two different games and got 50 tickets each time! He’s much luckier than his mother who never wins anything!
He also had fun getting to walk on the foundation to the new house.

On July 5, 2003, at 9:19 P.M. our second little boy, Jonathan, was born. Hard to believe, but he just turned three! He had a great day. Daddy took the day off and after we picked them up from preschool, we went to McDonald’s to eat and play. When we got home, Jonathan came in the house to his new wooden Thomas Train set all set up on the kitchen floor! He LOVES trains and had enjoyed playing with them. You’ll notice him with a dirty face, that was the leftover of his ice cream cone from McDonald’s.
If you would like to see some more photos from his special day, you can visit his album here:
