Yesterday – “Another Day, Another illness”

Yesterday at around 4:30 AM Nathaniel woke up throwing up. Oh Fun! I knew it was coming though. One can’t get sick without the other getting sick. Where would the fun be in that? By dinner time he was his same old self though. It amazes me how quickly kids bounce back from being sick. I’d still be whining about not feeling well. :-)

Even through all of that, he did very well with going to the bathroom in the potty. He even appears to be night trained already. Two nights in a row now and he’s not had an accident all night. I’m so proud of him. I kind of figured that when he was ready to potty train it wouldn’t be very hard. For some reason I still wasn’t looking forward to it though. A friend asked me if I was sad that he was potty trained (he’s growing up). I easily said, “NO WAY!”.

I can feel a tooth!

Sara’s very first tooth poked through this morning! I can hardly believe that she is almost 7 months old. Our last baby is growing up too fast. Her excema is coming back with a vengance. I’m not happy to see that and I fear that we are going to have to change her formula to soy. I need to call the pediatrician tomorrow to give her an update and she’ll suggest what to do next. She’s already gone through a three day treamtment of oral steroids and is now taking zyrtec and we’ve had to halt on giving her solids until we find out what she is allergic to. :-(
She’s still not sitting up great, but getting really close to crawling. She doesn’t care about sitting, she wants to be able to run all over the house with her brothers!

Sick of everyone being sick!

Started a couple weeks ago with all three of the kids getting a cold. Nathaniel was hardest hit and was miserable for about a week. Not long after that, Robert got it! HE was miserable for about a week and missed a lot of work. :-( Robert got over it, and now I have it!
It gets worse…Jonathan started throwing up at Salli’s this afternoon so we had to leave work early AGAIN. Poor guy. He finally went to sleep around 8. I hope this is it with the puking, but I have a feeling that all the kids will get it and probably me, too. AUGH!

We do have some good news though!! Nathaniel is almost completely potty trained! He hasn’t had a diaper on all day. He had two accidents at Salli’s this morning, but he has to get used to telling others that he needs to go. He even took his nap without a diaper on and did great! Now, those of you that don’t have kids won’t get the excitement in this, but he poopied on the potty, too! Gee, I sure sound like a MOTHER! Ha.

Sara is starting to sit up and will also probably be crawling within 2 weeks if not sooner. She’s doing very well at getting up and rocking back and forth. She really want to run with her brothers!
